CloudWalk Studios invites videomakers worldwide to take part in CloudWalk AI Short Festival, a space to imagine the future of audiovisual storytelling and experiment with new creative forms.
We welcome short films between 1 and 10 minutes, created using AI tools in any part of the process.
The selected works will be screened in large format, and the top three films will receive awards.
The festival takes place in São Paulo (Brazil), October XX.
A distinguished jury of filmmakers and audiovisual professionals will select the winners.

FESTIVAL RULES
01. Eligibility
Participants from any country can take part in by submitting their original videos until August XX. Applicants must be 18 years or older. The films shall comply with the following requirements:
AI Short Film:
For the purposes of this festival, an "AI Film" is defined as a cinematic work in which Artificial Intelligence technologies (e.g., AI-generated visuals, AI-generated scripts, AI editing, AI-assisted sound design) are a significant and integral part of the film’s creation. This includes films created entirely with AI, as well as hybrid works combining AI elements with traditional filmmaking techniques. The duration of the videos shall be between 1 and 10 minutes.
Originality:
All submitted films must be original works created by the submitter(s).
Rights:
The submitter must hold all necessary rights for the exhibition of the submitted film, including but not limited to music rights, intellectual property rights, and consent from all individuals appearing in the film.
Completion Date:
Films completed on or after January 1, 2024, are eligible.
Language:
Films in languages other than English must include accurate English subtitles.

Online Screener:
All submissions must be provided via an online screener (e.g., Vimeo, unlisted YouTube link). Please ensure that the link remains active and accessible until the end of the festival.

A link to the film’s trailer, if available.
Poster (Optional):
A link to the film’s poster, if available.
03. Deadlines
Submission Window:
Submissions will be open from August 1 to September 5, 2025.
04. Notification and Festival Schedule
Selection Notification:
All submitters will be notified of the selection status of their films by September 15, 2025.
Festival:
The AI Short Festival is scheduled to take place in early October 2025. Details regarding the venue and final schedule will be announced soon. 5. Jury and Awards

Jury Committee:
A panel of external jurors composed of renowned filmmakers and industry professionals will be responsible for film selection and awards. The jury will be announced soon.
Awards:
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. Prize details will be announced shortly.
Award Criteria:
The jury will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

Creative Use of AI: How inventively and meaningfully AI technologies are integrated into the filmmaking process. This includes AI-generated visuals, scripts, editing, sound design, or conceptual frameworks.
b.
Originality and Artistic Vision: The uniqueness of the concept, narrative, or aesthetic approach, and how it reflects an individual or collective artistic voice.
c.
Technical Execution: The overall production quality, including coherence, editing, sound, and visual impact, regardless of whether AI or traditional tools were used.
d.
Thematic Relevance: How the work engages with the theme of artificial intelligence, whether through direct commentary, experimentation, or speculative imagination.
e.
Emotional or Intellectual Impact: The ability of the video to move, provoke, or stimulate reflection in the viewer.
f.
Clarity of Concept and Intent: How clearly the creators’ ideas are conveyed, either through the video itself or accompanying materials (such as synopsis or artist statement).
g.
Experimental Risk and Innovation: The extent to which the project takes creative risks or explores unconventional uses of AI in storytelling or aesthetics.
Jury Decision:
The jury’s decision is final, discretionary, and not subject to appeal. The organizers and jury members are under no obligation to justify or disclose the reasons behind their selections or evaluations.
06. Terms and Conditions
By submitting your film, you grant the AI Film Festival the right to screen your film during the festival dates and to use it for promotional purposes related to the festival.
The awarded films will also be available on the Youtube channel.The festival reserves the right to use excerpts (up to 3 minutes) from accepted films for promotional purposes, including for future editions of the festival.
Decisions made by the selection committee and jury are final.
The festival is not responsible for any technical issues with submitted screeners. It is the responsibility of the submitter to ensure the screener is functional.
The festival reserves the right to make changes to the festival program or regulations at any time.
