Backend AI Engineer - Typescript

As a Backend AI Engineer focused on TypeScript, you will build and scale the AI-powered backend services that run behind our payment platform and internal products. You will work with modern APIs, distributed systems, and AI tooling to turn complex financial workflows into reliable, fast, and intelligent software.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power AI-driven features across CloudWalk's payment platform.
Work with TypeScript, Node.js, and modern cloud infrastructure to deliver reliable, high-performance APIs.
Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into production workflows, ensuring security, observability, and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to turn complex financial requirements into clean, maintainable software.
Write tests, review code, and contribute to engineering standards that keep the team moving fast without breaking things.

What You Need to Succeed

Solid experience with backend development using TypeScript and Node.js.
Experience designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and event-driven architectures.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployments.
Understanding of software engineering best practices: testing, CI/CD, observability, and code review.
Basic knowledge of AI/LLM APIs and how to integrate them safely into production systems.
Advanced English for technical collaboration in a global team.
