São Paulo, October 2025 – CloudWalk Studios, the audiovisual division of technology company CloudWalk, owner of InfinitePay and Jim.com, has closed submissions for the first edition of the CAIS – CloudWalk AI Shorts Festival with more than 1,200 films submitted from dozens of countries. The event will take place on November 14, 2025, at CloudWalk’s headquarters in São Paulo, featuring screenings of the selected shorts and cash prizes for the top three works. The festival will also be streamed online, allowing audiences from around the world to follow the event live.
Open to participants of any nationality, the festival received short films between one and ten minutes long, created partially or entirely with artificial intelligence tools, whether in scriptwriting, image generation, editing, soundtrack, or art direction.
““The remarkable quality and diversity of the films made the selection process both inspiring and demanding, showing how artificial intelligence is expanding creative boundaries rather than replacing them. In many cases, AI elevated the production value of these works to levels that would have been unattainable otherwise, allowing filmmakers to realize ideas that once seemed impossible”, says Ricardo Mordoch, Head of Audiovisual at CloudWalk Studios.
The festival’s curation process is underway, with the announcement of finalists scheduled for October 27. The selected films will be screened at CloudWalk’s headquarters in São Paulo, competing for prizes of R$ 8,400, R$ 4,200, and R$ 2,100, respectively. In addition to these winners, a special Audience Award will be presented to the film chosen through open voting by both in-person attendees and online viewers following the live broadcast of the event.
“CAIS began as an investigation into the new frontiers of audiovisual narrative. The scale and reach of the submissions confirm that this is a global and very exciting conversation,” adds Mordoch.
With the festival, CloudWalk Studios reinforces its mission to foster the intersection between art, technology, and critical thinking, reflecting on the role of artificial intelligence in the creation of images and stories.
