CloudWalk Shows How iPhone Can Replace Payment Terminals

São Paulo, December 2023 - A café attendant at the top of a mountain, a personal trainer, an auto repair shop owner, a craftswoman, a massage therapist, and even a tour guide in the middle of a trail. These are some of the characters chosen by InfinitePay, CloudWalk's financial services platform, to show how Tap to Pay technology works on iPhone, which transforms Apple smartphones into payment terminals. With the question "Want to take the next step in your business?", the video reinforces the benefits of using the iPhone to receive payments by contactless cards, cell phones, and smart watches.

Launched in Brazil by Apple in September 2023 in partnership with InfinitePay, Tap to Pay technology on iPhone has gained increasing space among Brazilian entrepreneurs for being free, secure, and flexible. Using only the iPhone with the InfinitePay app installed, without the need for additional devices, entrepreneurs can accept all forms of contactless payments, including Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets. Transactions have no additional cost, and rates for debit and credit are the same as payment terminals. Currently, InfinitePay is the only company in Brazil offering Tap to Pay technology on iPhone.

The film was produced by CloudWalk and seeks to reinforce some of the technology's advantages, as well as clarify some common doubts about any innovation being introduced. One of the main features is receiving payment in seconds (when the market standard is for entrepreneurs to receive only the day after the sale). The video also provides information about transaction security, the absence of extra fees, and the possibility of receiving payments in installments up to 12 times.

"We are experiencing a technology transition moment in the payments sector, where payment terminals are beginning to be replaced by smartphones. It's a process similar to what we've already seen happen in other segments, such as digital cameras, MP3 players, and DVD players," says Paulo Perez, Chief Design Officer at CloudWalk. "The campaign simultaneously suggests that this is the natural next step for entrepreneurs while helping in the process of education and awareness about the arrival of new technology," he says.

The campaign went live in the week of December 18 and will be broadcast on major social media platforms.
