São Paulo, February 2026CloudWalk is one of the sponsors of WAIFF 2026, the World AI Film Festival, the largest Brazilian event dedicated to films produced with artificial intelligence. The festival takes place on February 27 and 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m (Brasília local time), at FAAP in São Paulo. In addition to its institutional support, CloudWalk will take part in the official program with two talks on the first day of the event and will lend its name to one of the festival’s auditoriums.

With more than 20 hours of programming, WAIFF will simultaneously host activities in the CloudWalk and CAISROOM auditoriums, featuring talks, panel discussions, and workshops, as well as at the SPCine Space, where the finalist films of the competitive showcase will be screened. The festival aims to recognize emerging talent and discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on cinema, advertising, and streaming.

On February 27, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., CloudWalk will host the talk “How to Get Started? A Comparison Between Open Source and Paid Platforms” at the SPCine Space. The session will be led by filmmakers Dan Moraes and Ricardo Mordoch (from left to right, in the photo above), who will present practical pathways for professionals and creators interested in launching projects with artificial intelligence, highlighting the differences between open-source tools and proprietary platforms.

Later that Friday, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., the CloudWalk Auditorium will host the talk “From Text to Screen: Building a Short Film with AI – Behind the Scenes of ‘Arnaldo Had an Idea,’” also presented by Ricardo Mordoch and Dan Moraes. The session will detail the creative process behind the award-winning short film developed using AI, including scriptwriting, image generation, and post-production stages. The short film has already received two international awards at festivals in Los Angeles, United States, and Warsaw, Poland, in addition to honorable mentions at festivals in Rome and Milan, Italy.

“Artificial intelligence does not replace the creative eye, but it expands production possibilities and lowers barriers to entry. Our goal at WAIFF is to share practical insights and demonstrate how technology can be applied in a structured way within the audiovisual industry,” says Ricardo Mordoch, Head of Audiovisual at CloudWalk.

Produced by UltraVioleta in partnership with FAAP, WAIFF is part of a global network also launched in countries such as France, Japan, South Korea, and China. The initiative also extends to the WAIFF Talks podcast, featuring eight episodes dedicated to the relationship between artificial intelligence and the creative economy, bringing together professionals from the audiovisual market and the legal sector.

In addition to its content program of talks, panels, and workshops, the festival includes a competitive film showcase that will award the best productions in 11 categories: Feature Film, Vertical Series, Advertising, Animated Short Film, Documentary Short Film, Fantasy Short Film, Action Short Film, Drama Short Film, Best Director Under 25, Best Female Director, and Best Film of the Festival. The films will be screened over the two days of the event, and the awards ceremony will take place starting at 3:00 p.m. on February 28.
